Hours: 7:30am-2:45pm (6.75 hours per day, 33.75 hours per week) - 10 month duty schedule

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and; additional experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved; or have served in a community service organization, child-centered service or educational organization for a minimum of one (1) year; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Duties of Assignment: Seeking a caring, dependable Aide to support our special classes during academic instruction. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, structured environment for students with social-emotional and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include: Supporting students using de-escalation strategies and behavior plans, assisting the teacher and support team, supervising transitions such as lunch periods, and documenting and communicating student needs. Experience with de-escalation techniques is preferred.

Special Qualifications: Must be patient and empathetic, have a calm demeanor, and have the ability to develop a strong rapport with parents and related services staff. Must be patient, work well with others, and remain confidential. Experience with special education students is desirable.
