Long Term Substitute Nurse - Kenmore West (RN or LPN)

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. -  7.5 hours per day - 10 month duty schedule

Recruiting Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Good knowledge of professional nursing principles, procedures and terminology; good knowledge of the principles and practices of public and child health; ability to get along well with children; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with teachers and the general public; sound professional judgment; initiative and resourcefulness; dependability, good physical condition. 

Experience and Training:  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, valid license and registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New York and current CPR/AED certification.

Duties of Assignment: Duties will include:  first aid, medication administration, management of chronic conditions; evaluation of immunization status; completion of mandated state data report; and any other duties as assigned by Administration.

Special Qualifications: Pediatric Experience; tact; patience; knowledgeable about childhood diseases; up-to-date on first aid techniques; technologically proficient.

Food Service Helper RPT - Kenmore West

Hours: 10:15 am - 1:45 pm (3.5 per day, 17.5 hours per week) - 10 month duty schedule

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Elementary knowledge of the proper method of serving food and the care of tableware, glassware, silver and kitchen appliances; practical working knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use of cleaning supplies and appliances; ability to follow simple oral and written directions; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.  (Must be able to lift 40 lb. cases).

Minimum Qualifications:  Some experience in domestic work including food service and ability to read and write English, or any equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience.

Duties of Assignment:  Preparing, cooking and serving food, cashiering, washing and sanitizing food service utensils with other food service activities required for the operation of the food program.  Food Service Helpers are to work cooperatively with the Cook Managers and others on ANY jobs assigned.  Must be available to work hours as stated above.

$16.25 per hour
