Cleaner FT - Buildings & Grounds

Hours: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week) — Core Duty Schedule **Times may vary due to the building assignment/schedule.

Duties of Assignment: Support the Director of Facilities, the Head Custodians and the operations at the various school buildings in the District. Performs routine manual tasks requiring physical effort in the cleaning and care of the building.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances; ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions; ability to stand; stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time; ability to use various cleaning equipment and products; ability to climb ladders and scaffolds; thoroughness; dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Acceptable Training and Experience: There are no educational or experience requirements.  Applicants must be able to perform physical labor.

$17.00 - $26.49 per hour
Laborer FT - Buildings & Grounds

Hours: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week) - Core Duty Schedule

RECRUITING REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Support the Director of Facilities and the operations of the Buildings & Grounds Department, District-Wide. Ability to understand and follow simple oral instructions; ability to perform a variety of heavy, unskilled manual tasks; must have physical strength and stamina; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: There are no educational or experience requirements. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must possess or obtain a valid NYS CDL Class B driver's license within 6 months of the date of hire.

$17.75-$27.65 per hour
