This instructional vacancy is for Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Kenmore Junior/Senior High School from 4:30P-8:30P mid-September through March 5th, 2026. The ESL level 1 teacher provides high-quality instruction to adult learners to help them develop English language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This role involves designing engaging lessons that support diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, fostering student confidence, and preparing learners to achieve academic, workplace, and personal goals. The teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with colleagues to support program success.

Special Qualifications: - Plan and deliver engaging ESL lessons aligned with student needs and program objectives. - Assess, monitor, and document student progress in English language development. - Adapt instruction to meet the needs of learners at varying proficiency levels. - Integrate real-life and workplace skills into language instruction. - Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation. - Collaborate with staff to promote student success and program completion. - Maintain accurate attendance and performance records in accordance with district and state requirements.
