Clerk Typist PT Temp - Hoover Elementary

Hours: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Thursday), 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Friday), 19.5 hours per week - Temporary through 3/14/2025.

Job Duties: Assist in a very busy office setting in a professional and efficient manner when interacting with students, parents and staff. Duties may include assisting with attendance and discipline, filing and managing student attendance, transportation issues, field trips, phone answering /returning voicemails and any other duties as assigned by an administrator.

Special Qualifications: Must have computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and Google Suites); proficiency in Infinite Campus or other student management system a plus; must possess strong communication skills and a willingness to be a part of a large, multi-functional team; ability to relate well with people and have excellent customer service skills including a welcoming demeanor; must be able to multitask, must be detail oriented and highly organized; must be confidential and a team player.

Teacher Aide RPT 12:1 - Hoover Elementary

Hours: 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week) - 10 month duty schedule

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and; additional experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved; or have served in a community service organization, child-centered service or educational organization for a minimum of one (1) year; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Duties of Assignment:  Aide in a 12:1 (3+1) Special Education Classroom. Ensure student safety throughout the building; help student transition throughout the building.  Provide student support in all academic areas, which may include: behavior modification programs through encouragement and emotional development; provide direct supervision for student while attending academic classes and extracurricular activities; provide guidance, support and proximity control throughout the realm of any given school day; duties may include lifting, feeding, and personal care duties that may include toileting and personal hygiene as noted on the student’s IEP. Assist with student instruction, focused on RTI, including movement to/from portable classroom.  Building principal may assign additional duties as needed.  

$16.00-$24.93 per hour
