Duties of Assignment: Assist the Registered Nurse in the school health office with screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis),  medications, immunization compliance, data collection, and other related duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse. May attend school field trips requiring nurse coverage for medical conditions, and assist with transportation coverage if needed.  May be asked to provide coverage within the District as needed. 

Special Qualifications: Pediatric/adolescent nursing experience, good communication skills, computer and technical healthcare skills, tact, patience, flexibility. 

Required Certification: LPN license, CPR/AED certified.

Hours: 7:45 a.m. –1:45 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 6 hours per day-30 hours per week — 10-month duty schedule

Registered Nurse-Full- Time — Hoover Complex 

Hours: 8:00 a.m. –3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 7.5 hours per day-37.5 hours per week — 10 month duty schedule

Registered Nurse—Full-Time—Charter School for Applied Technologies (CSAT)

Hours: 7:30 a.m - 3:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 7.5 hours per day-37.5 hours per week — 10-month duty schedule

Registered Nurse-Full -Time — Edison Elementary

Hours: 8:15 a.m.- 3:45 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 7.5 hours per day-37.5 hours per week — 10-month duty schedule 


Duties of Assignment:  Good knowledge of professional nursing principles, procedures and terminology; good knowledge of the principles and practices of public and child health; ability to get along well with children; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with teachers and the general public; sound professional judgment;initiative and resourcefulness; dependability, good physical condition; first aid, medication administration, management of chronic conditions, evaluation of immunization status, completion of state mandated reporting, and other duties as assigned by Administration. 

Special Qualifications: Pediatric/adolescent nursing experience; tact; good communication skills, computer and technical healthcare skills, patience, flexibility.  Must be certified CPR/AED.

$27.18-$42.35 per hour
