Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals and abilities. Adapt and differentiate curriculum to meet the unique learning needs of each student. Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional learning. Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance student engagement. Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Implement behavioral management strategies and support students in developing self-regulation skills. Promote a sense of belonging and respect within the classroom. Work closely with aides, related service providers, and other staff to support student needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, concerns, and successes. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP reviews and parent conferences. Conduct ongoing assessments to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviors. Prepare progress reports and contribute to IEP development. Stay current on best practices in special education, including instructional strategies and legal compliance. Attend professional development workshops, training, and meetings as required. Reflect on teaching practices to ensure continuous improvement. |
