School Psychology Interns for 2026-2027 School Year
Positions:
Two (2) School Psychology Interns
Experience K-12
Dates:
September 1, 2026 – May 21, 2027
Locations:
Primarily Franklin Elementary and Kenmore East High School
Remuneration:
$25,000 annual stipend
Requirement:
Candidates who have completed prerequisite coursework and are qualified to begin their school psychologist internship
Candidates must fulfill all pre-employment requirements for the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free Central School District
Tasks:
Administering psychological tests and interpreting assessment results for the purpose of classification and providing services
Providing individual and group counseling and other mental health services as appropriate
Participation in Committee on Special Education Meetings
Assisting in the implementation of an MTSS model of supports
Assisting in planning programs that meet the special needs of the students
Working with children and young adults who have a variety of disabilities
Attending departmental meetings and continuing professional development programs
Providing consultation to teachers, parents and school staff
Helping to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
Assisting students, families and schools dealing with crisis
The psychologist intern will also perform any assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate.
Additional Work Opportunities
Family Support Center evening hours are optional
Work on a team with school and community counselors and social workers
Additional per diem compensation
