Hours: 7:35 a.m. – 2:35 p.m. (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week) - 10 month duty schedule
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and; additional experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved; or have served in a community service organization, child-centered service or educational organization for a minimum of one (1) year; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Duties of Assignment: Seeking a caring, dependable Crisis Aide to support our 8:1:1 Special Education program. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, structured environment for students with social-emotional and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include: supporting students during crisis situations, using de-escalation strategies and behavior plans, assisting teacher and support team, supervising transitions such as lunch periods, and documenting and communicating student needs. Experience with behavioral support and de-escalation techniques is preferred. Building principal may assign additional duties as needed.
Must be patient and empathetic, have a calm demeanor, and have the ability to develop a strong rapport with parents and related services staff, the ability to work well with others, and have the ability to remain confidential. Experience with special needs students is desirable.
