Account Clerk Typist FT - Administration Building/Business Office

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week) - Core Schedule

IF APPOINTED PROVISIONALLY, THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST BE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION WHEN MADE AVAILABLE.  FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HOLD THE TITLE OF ACCOUNT CLERK TYPIST OR MUST BE CANVASSED AND REACHABLE FROM THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE LIST.

Duties of Assignment: Responsible for the purchasing of goods and services for multiple departments. Reviews requisitions for accuracy and compliance with district policy. Address and resolve complications with orders. Liaison between the school personnel, shipping department, and vendors. Provide support to the schools when it comes to ordering, policies and procedures and training on the district financial package, any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Special Qualifications: Detail-oriented, must possess excellent computer skills, knowledge of WinCap preferred; ability to work as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to assist as necessary with department projects; ability to use good judgment, initiative and independence.

Minimum Qualifications: 

A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York state registered two (2) year college or university with an Associate's degree in Accounting supplemented by a course in keyboarding or computer business applications; or:
B) Completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited or New York state registered two
(2) or four (4) year college or university, which includes sixteen (16) semester credit hours in Accounting, supplemented by a course in keyboarding or computer business applications; or:
C) Graduation from high school supplemented by a course in keyboarding, or computer business applications, and one (1) year of experience maintaining financial records and accounts or:
D) Five (5) years of office experience, one (1) year of which involved keyboarding or computer business applications and the maintenance of financial records and accounts; or:
E) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (D).

$19.70 - $30.69/hr.
Executive Assistant to the Superintendent - Administration Building/Superintendent's Office

Full Time, Non- Represented, Core Schedule

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week) 

THIS IS AN EXEMPT APPOINTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEW YORK STATE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.  WHILE AN EXAMINATION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR APPOINTMENT, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AS OUTLINED BELOW.

JOB DUTIES: The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent provides high-level, confidential administrative support to the Superintendent of Schools. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Superintendent’s office, coordinating communications, overseeing sensitive documentation, and serving as a liaison between the Superintendent and internal and external stakeholders. Duties include preparing and proofreading executive correspondence, managing calendars and schedules, coordinating major meetings and events, compiling reports, and supporting district-wide initiatives. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a New York State registered or regionally accredited two-year college or business school with a degree in secretarial science or a closely related field with similar course curriculum and two (2) years of secretarial experience which should include public contact; OR Graduation from high school and five (5) years of secretarial experience which shall have included public contact; OR Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science; OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience as described in the above paragraphs sufficient to indicate ability to do the work. Note: Verifiable part-time and /or volunteer experience will be prorated toward meeting full-time experience requirements. 

$68,000-$75,000 annual, commensurate w/ experience
